valve order

if i don't plan on re-using any of the valve assemblies, parts etc. is there any use in keeping any order to them? i.e. which cylinder they come from, intake vs. exhaust, all parts together, etc?
thanks

If they are not to be used again, why bother keeping them in order? On the other hand, if the old valves have the Ford logo in the oval on the head, those may be better quality than what a new valve is today. Try to re-use them.

thanks for that advice ole don; i know some have the logo, some don't. no logic as to which ones do/don't, i.e. intake vs. exhaust
to be honest, saw this reeeall cuute, valve assembly tray on speedway, and figured there might be some reason it all needed to stay together. i don't plan on canning anything, i just plan on replacing all i can afford to, with new, but only if better.
thanks again

The only time you need to keep them in order is when they have been lapped to a seat or when you are going to lap and reuse them in the same hole. Definitely hang on to the ones that still have meat on the edge of the seating surface. They can be reground and will be as good as a new one if wear is minimal on the stems and the edges still have meat after grinding. If the eadge is near sharp or the stem looks bad, they are file 13 material for the scrapper.
