Valve adj, touring cam

With new modern valves I set mine at .011, all. There is less growth in the new valves so you can set them closer.

What's the gap setting for adj'able lifters, please. Thanx, FB

BTW, where did you get the cam, --or even more importantly, who reground the cam? Depending on the specs, there may be a little Hp advantage running the exhaust valve a little loose however the noise may be a tad more than you want to hear.

if you know who ground it, they would be the ones to ask. Different grinders use different clearances. Ford original spec was .010 intake/ .013 ex. Many others prefer .013 in/.015 exhaust to avoid valve burn. I just got a new .330 lift cam from Bill Stipe ( excellent mid range performance, BTW) and he said to set it at .012 for both because of the way he ground the ramp.
