Value opinions on 32 Fordor

Yes I could have been low on the estimate. It does have potential, but it may be a long term project. The one on the V-8 Club website is a ready driver and doing the math you can drive it now for less money than the restoration of the project. I suspect my age enters into the fact that a ready driver is much more appealing to me rather than a long term project. :)

Tom, I'm with you on the "age" thing!! BTW, see you changed your avatar!!:)

I did make the change. Sold the '48 to a friend and got the '40 on the road. Still sorting out a few small issues, but hope to take it to Wenatchee.

For what it’s worth I’m thinking 15k. Grille and shell. Frame with crossmember. 16 inch wheels. Maybe juice brakes. Maybe a 39 trans. Looked like a different steering box. Even the fordor rear armrest.

Well the 1932 Fordor sold to a local guy through word-of-mouth before I could advertise it. It sold for something between $14K-$15K which surprised me.

I was able to purchase this 32 Five Window project and will dedicate a thread on the Jalopy Journal to the project in Bill Haynes name.

Fred, thanks for the update on the fordor. That price surprises me too. The owner made out well and it makes the price on the one on the V-8 Club website look like a real bargain.
