Fellow Ford Barners:

Need some guidance on getting my wiper motor to function. Have taken it apart and cleaned it well and greased it. When you turn it on, with a little nudge the paddle will swing about half way. When you turn it off, it turns to its' off position with a strong movement. Believe problem lies in the movement control mechanism.

Does anyone have diagrams of the wiper motor that show location of parts?

Thanks in Advance

Not sure how well this will show up...

Thom;

The item that really worked for me was the use of silicone grease on the paddle. Mine did exactly the same as yours and after several rebuilds, use of ATF, 3 in 1 oil, etc etc, the wiper would work for a short while and then stop again. The silicone grease cured that, but I do think that I will get it professionally rebuilt soon.

Also look over the felt tubular thing...it can become indented and so allow a bit of over-travel.
At fleamarkets, old, dirty, unidentified wiper motors can be dirt cheap...buy a couple that are same general age and body size as yours both as assembly guides and potential parts donors.
