Vacuum Wiper hose replacement With Copper 1/8"

I have an old and leaking Vacuum hose to the wiper motor, on my 34 Ford , can I replace it with a 3/16 " copper tubing , not 1/8th " using only a short piece of rubber hose at each end of the line ? does this restrict the vacuum at the wiper motor ? thanks barners..

If it was 3/16" I would replace with the same, I saw a jeep done this way at Volo, all solid except for the final connections.

Thanks Frank , I will get the 3/16 " copper and do the same as you saw on a vehicle at Volo..
