I did, on Sonny Greenberg's '36 Lincoln Model "K". Used a Mo-Par square one & hid it in the frame rail, behind the transmission.has anyone ever tried adding vacuum reservoir tank and one way check valve to enhance the wiper operation?
Paul, we're tickled that you're able to drive now!!Mitch: Has been discussed on the EV8 forum to some length, I think the concensus was it didn't make a great improvement.
Paul
Left the house on Friday on my own and drove to a Dr's appt ! ! !
Yes, they work fine. Placed (hidden) between front of tank and firewall. Mine came from junk yard 40 years ago.
That is what I am doing, check valve between the canister and intake source, placed so the air can only move towards the manifold. When manifold vacuum is reduced the valve should close "trapping vacuum" in the tank. Over on the AACA Forums, someone mentioned that he got a few wipes with the wipers, after the engine was shut down. Just using the stored vacuum. I figure with rain-x and the engine running, it should be an improvement.
Most of the valves i have seen are one way full time
Yes, maybe I wrote line wrong. It is a regular check valve, placed in the line to allow air to move towards the manifold, since it can be installed in either direction. Looks kinda' like this.
they have a vacuum side so it needs to be installed one way otherwise it wont work. it usually marked or you can just suck on it
