That's interesting... Just imagine if you had to add a "plate" for every vacuum assisted accessory... the carburetor would sit three inches above the intake...LOL

Vic a large Columbia plate will provide enough vacuum for several devices if you want to add the vacu-matic. I put a "T" in the Columbia adaptors for the MMO and both work fine. Happy biding. G.M.

Has nothing to do with adding vacuum devices.
It just introduces more air at low vacuum conditions (full throttle etc.) to lean the fuel mixture.
Just one of the many fuel savings devices that were introduced in the fifties that were never really proven to work.

GM love the picture, i love those old lube units . Used to work for a fleet every vehicle we owned used one. Never had a stuck valve and all ran very well.

I like the battery holder for the Marvel oil .......

Bubba Here's a few more. I made battery holders for all the Optima's. The 39 P/U, like the 37 had room so I made the holder to hold a few qts. of oil. I Have oilers on all my drivers. I even made a label to put on the mason jars. No sticky valves here. Sorry about the duplicate picture but I couldn't delete it. G.M.
