V8 oil filter on Model A?

I have picked up a early V8 oil filter with a small collection of early flatheads, I would like to use this filter on my A engine. Has anyone used these before connected up to the block port on the oil pump?
Someone told me if I connect up a filter direct to this port I need a line restricter so I don't starve the top end of oil.
If so what's the best way to do this?
I prefer the look of the early filter than a modern spin in design kits available.

If the filter return dumps into the valve chamber it won't matter if there is any restricter, the oil will go where the internal passage dumps it, with the low pressure of the A engine any restriction would need to be larger than on the much higher pressure V8 system

Rich to start with those filters have a restrictor inside the filter as they are a bypass filter centre tube is drilled 0.060
2nd a model is not a pressure system so you will have trouble pumping thru the filter
It can be done with some easy mods
best give me call

Thanks Colin

Will do when I get closer to start assembling.
