V8 Driveshafts

Guys I need to chase up a complete torque tube and driveshaft for my 33 coupe with a 36 V8 motor and box. Which year tubes and driveshafts will bolt up and any ideas where I could source one as my car ships in just over two weeks and Id like the parts to go with it. I have advertised here, the HAMB, early V8 club websites.

BTW car is headed to Australia, not China :)
 
Pete, if you cant get the 33 or 34 tube type shaft,get one from Dick Spadaro,I used one on my 33 sedan here in QLD.Lawrie
 
The 33 and 34 cars have the same torque tube and drive shafts. The 4 cylinder is shorter so make sure you get one for a V8. The only source I know is to put an ad here on the ford barn. Do not buy the reproduction cut to fit drive shafts as they are to light in construction and not true.
 
Thanks guys - been advertising, checking eBay etc and need to get one in the next couple of weeks. If anyone knows of one please let me know?
 
Hi Andy all I know is the 4 Cyl. Torque Tube is Apx. 1 1/2" shorter. Have ordered the resto book etc but it hasnt made it to me yet.
 
Ah found one but alas :(

"drive shaft length without coupler is 56 1/8" and with coupler in properalignment hole the overall length is 58 1/2".
 
The 33 and 34 driveshaft doesnt have a coupler ,the spline to conect to the pinion shaft is a female spline that is welded into the tube.
Let me know if you want the dimensions of the tube driveshaft

I may have found a complete unit, are the torque tubes different lengths? If so how long is the V8 unit and where do we measure it from. I really appreciate all your help as its hard to do this from the other side of the world :)

Hi Pete:

The 33-34 V-8 Torque Tube is 62" O.A. Length. The Drive shaft is 60 1/4" O.A. Length. :)

I have had for about 35 Years a 34-Rear End all in pieces but wanted to be sure it was a V-8 and not a 4 Cyl. I was able to measure a 34 V-8 car yesterday and was able to varify what I had was also for a V-8. The 33 and 34 parts are the same.
