Rob you need a DC power supply, and or with a volt meter. Connect the POS + to the body of the cutout and the NEG - to the Generator terminal. You can put a 6 volt bulb across the battery terminal and the body. Slowly bring the DC voltage up and the light should turn on at 7.2 to 7.3 volts. If it don't there are 3 spot welds right on the very bottom edge of the cover, grind them a little and the cover comes off. If it takes higher voltage to pull the cutout in then you have to bend the arm attached to the spring closed a little, less spring tention takes lower voltage to energize the relay. If it pulls in at a lower voltage then more spring tention is required. You can adjust the tention until it pulls in between 7.2 and 7.4. A relay after it is pulled in will hold closed at a much lower voltage then it takes to pull it in. Once pulled in if you slowly lower the DC voltage to the relay coil it will hold in at 6 volts or less. Clean the contacts while it is open and solder the three spots to hold it back together. G.M.
