Using DOUBLE Back Tape on Interior of Doors

I recently read a suggetion to use DOUBLE Backed Tape to install Interior pieces rather than nails . I like the idea BUT would like to know brand name and size suggestion .

Can some one Please help ?

The 3M brand adhesives are definitely worth their extra expense they actually use them on some car models to hold the Doors and fender panels and trim pieces.

This is a great idea! I have one place in the passenger compartment of my '31 that has consistently refused to be tamed by tacks, I'm going to try the tape.

Y-B: anything special required to get the tape to bond to the wood door frame?

I have found velcro works well to hold door panels in place, so you can easily remove them if need be. Staple one side to the wood frame and glue the other side.

Good morning, John. I just ensured the door frame was free of dirt and oil. I wiped it down with a shop towel. The tape has a pretty strong glue on it (package sez it will hold 30 lbs).
