Aussie buyers, save yourself a heap of time and trouble.
Inspection would be welcome either by a prospective buyer or a representative.
The Pickup is located on the south side of Brisbane.
The cab is in excellent shape - no visible rust - one small dent in the rear of the roof from the trip over here. Doors will need some aligning
It has an aluminium sheet firewall but I have a pretty good stock firewall that will go with it
Pickup bed is in good shape with the only rust being along the bottom of the front edge of the end panel at the cab end. It is not visible from the top side because the original steel floor hides it. There are the usual dents in the pickup bed from light duty work
The paint is shiny but the prep was not good. There are some rough spots in it but it is a good 20 footer
It's all steel with a set of BLC lights in place of the 34 commercial lights. You will also see that it has a '35 Ford tailgate.
I have a fiberglass stone tray to go under the grille.
Chassis is stock except that the last 20 cm of the chassis were cut off and replace with C channel
The engine is a SBC (not sure what size) and is mounted with a front engine mount. It has plenty of dress up gear that just needs a polish. The carby is an electric choke Edelbrock
There is a relatively new twin exhaust with Hushpower mufflers.
Fuel tank is original but is dented in the bottom - truck runs an electric fuel pump
It has the original diff and a 34 trans is bolted to the SBC via an adaptor .
Brakes are early Ford hydraulic and clutch is also hydraulic.
Steering appears to be original.
All the suspension is original
Wheels are powder coated 35 Ford 16' rims with 6.00 x 16's on the front and the spare and 6.50 x 16's on the rear. The tires are very new
Interior is quite new. The seat is done in red and black vinyl and the roof lining/door trims (not shown) are in grey pleated vinyl. Roof lining is sagging. Carpets need a good clean. It has Stewart Warner gauges in the dash but I am not sure if they all work. There is an alarm system in the truck and a Kenwood stereo.
If you are wanting a quick "fix up and drive" hot rod then this is for you - it won't win any trophies but it will be a lot of fun.
It could easily be restored by dropping a flattie back in or throw a dropped axle under the front and some extended shackles at the back and you've got it sitting a bit lower for that early hot rod look.
Asking $28500 ono
The pickup is drivable and was registered when I bought it in Long Beach - the Calif '34 plates will go with it.
