Upper Control arm Question

I am getting ready to replace upper control arms on my 55 Ford. I ordered the control arms and they look the same as what is on my car. Except, only difference is that the old arms have one inner washer located at the rear of the control arm. This washer is on driver and passenger side with the washer located on the rear end of the arm. The new control arms do not have this washer. So, I guess I am wondering if each arm needs these inner washers, and also, does each control arm use just one or two for each arm.

I think you may have answered my question. On your posts, page #67, you mention that there are 3 large washers on the upper control arms. That is how mine are now. My new arms do not come with the 3rd washer so I will just use the old one as the 3rd. Didn't know if there were 4 per arm, but guess not.

No problems with doing it that way...I reused all of the old washers and even the shafts when I replaced the bushings. If you look very close you will see that the shafts are from different manufacturers. One is Fomoco and the other is not, but they were both straight so on we go.

The supplier probably doesn't supply the third washer as it is different to the others though it looks the same. The centre hole is much bigger.
Here is picture from the parts catalogue and shows how it goes together.
