upholstery

Where do you live? Here in North Carolina there are people who worked in the upholstery industry before it was shipped overseas. Even though furniture is different than car upholstery they do a good job at a reasonable price on cars.

Is it still possible to get the upholstery panels that LeBaron Bonney use to sell? Did another supplier pick up on those?

Do you have any auto upholstery/top shops near you.

That’s the way I have gone. More $$$ but nice job.

Enjoy

Hi
I am looking for someone to reupholster panels for a 1929 Model A
Any assistance is appreciated
Thank you,
Evelyn
You can purchase yard goods from Classtique Upholstery. The Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards will tell you what fabric you need (let us know the body style of your 29A and which panels and we can look it up if you don't have the RG&JS). Any local auto upholstery shop can install for you, or see previous threads on doing it yourself with contact cement.

Hello, the biggest problem of doing it yourself is getting the stitch per inch correct unless you have access to a commercial sewing machine. If I remember correctly door panels have around 6 to 8 stitches per inch on the decroration panel. If you still have some of the original pieces, that will make it easier. Classicque is similar to the now defunct Lebaron Bonney ,he gets excellent reviews on Ford Barn.Might be your best option. Good luck.
