Hi, I'm about to order a full interior kit from LB for my 29 Tudor. Can someone please explain what fasteners I might need? Are there fasteners to hold the carpet in place?
I am not sure about carpet fasteners but my recent LB interior // top kits had everything needed and i mean everything... Your best bet is to call them ...
In the US, we call them "Hog Rings" and they should have a small pair of special pliers to crimp/close them with. From the box, Hog rings are open and are closed around the fabric and the spring coils. There are a couple of youtube videos which may be helpful.

The LB Interior for my Coupe came with the Hog Rings, and every other fastener I needed; screws, beveled washers, door panel clips, wire brads, etc. It even included a rudimentary pair of Hog Ring Pliers.

same here i just didn't list it all out but i did purchase a better set of hog ring pliers and had to pick up some extra hog rings as they didn't quite give me enough in the kit. so maybe ask them for an extra bag of them.
Usually the hog ring pliers that come with the upholstery kit are real cheesy. They are hard to use and aggravating. It would probably be best to buy a pair of decent hog ring pliers, they aren't too expensive (eBay maybe).

I borrowed a good pair of pliers from a friend. They made a big difference. I wanted to buy a good pair myself, but couldn't locate any. I would still love to have good ones in my tool box.
Gus, if you can't find a good pair of hog ring pliers, don't worry. The ones that come with the kit will get the job done.
As most have stated, the hog ring pliers that are supplied with the upholstery kit are not the best. However, I used them and still managed to get the job done.
It doesn't hurt to call LB first to be sure you are getting exactly what you need. Especially if you are far away. They are very good over the phone. I always ask for Liz there she seems the best
Thanks all,
Knowing me, I will try the cheap pliers, get annoyed with them half way through the job and then buy some proper ones that I'll never use again!

I got a decent pair of hog ring pliers at Tractor Supply. They had a couple of different sizes ( I got the smaller) as well as boxes of hog rings.
Good luck.......Pete
