Don.t. know but I will find out when I set the engine. The sway bar came with the truck I can only assume it worked before. Thanks Rich

front pulley is way behind the sway bar (behind front crossmember actually)

and yes the 40 fan is crankshaft mounted, I even mounted the fan on the crankshaft on my 51 merc engine 8CM is a 41 truck

I got a 1947 engine with this barn find but that will still be the same. Please take the time to go back to my thread of 2/15/2015 (barn find -- 1940 pickup). The beauty of this thread is I found a 1940 ford pickup in boxes stored since 1966. Almost all of the truck is there. As you can see I am not good at putting pictures on this site. I have more pictures and when I get some help I will show them to everyone. Thanks Rich
