Update on back surgery. God is good.

Lawson; It's a good day when you find that one Doc. that really knows how to fix your problems and keep you healthy. I have a great Cardioligist who has been keeping me going 20 years since my 4x bypass. Glad to hear you are doing fine. Keep up the activity, just don't get crazy for at least a week or two! Paul Selfe.

It won't be long until you will be lifting flatheads from the garage floor to the bench!! Only kidding of course. I wonder how many of us started the back problems early on, wrenching these old enines? Glad to hear the good news.

No, when word got out that I had the moon walk down pat, they did call me, but now that I no longer do that, they are not interested. LOL

I cannot get over what instant relief I got from the surgery. No question that God had a hand in it as well as the surgeon.

Yes you are ccorrect he is looking for special people like you. Its ben nice to know you. Wish you the best and take it easy.

Lawson,

Was your surgery a microdiskectomy? My wife is being told she might need this to alleviate issues caused by a herniated disk.

The surgery I had was the M.I.L.D. procedure. That is Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression. My problem was not with a disc, but spinal stenosis, or bony growth decreasing the diameter of the canal. They went in and opened up the canal and trimmed a little off of the large yellow ligament, both of which were causing impingement on the nerve. The procedures are similar, just trimming a different area.

THANKS for sharing! We all need some good news like this. It offsets some of the things that don't come out right. Good on you! You are one lucky young man!!
Don't rush things tho right now.
