Update Bought the ‘32!!

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Just wondering…. I’d like to join the early V8 club but the truck doesn’t have a V8!
Is that an issue? Definitely don’t want to be somewhere I don’t belong LOL

Not a problem. The club encompasses 1932-1953 Ford, Mercury, Lincoln. We'd be glad to have ya. The price of admission is cheap.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Fours, sixes, V8s, V12s, anything that Ford produced from the '32 model year through the '53 model year ('54 model year in the case of Ford of Canada vehicles) are all part of the Club's coverage.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Thank you all! That’s great I will be looking into joining the club. I’ll get the truck insured and a few other things in order and join all you nice folks!!! Super exciting!!

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Lenny that's a BEAUTIFUL pickup please post more pics of the interior, dash gauges and the 4-banger please we love the '32s.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Nice find and welcome to early Ford trucks. Looks REALLY nice!! Enjoy it and drive it. I have had my '34 for 50 plus years. Fun to drive.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

It’s in great condition! Runs beautifully! I’ll post more pictures of the inside and under the hood. It needs a good cleaning but just the way I like them. I just love “drivers”. Our model A’s are the same. They present well but I don’t worry about leaning over the fenders to wrench on them. The only thing I’m a bit bitter sweet on is the previous owner fabricated an alternative gas tank so it doesn’t stink up the cab. I can switch it back as everything is still in place but it was somewhat tastefully done so time will tell

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Perhaps the previous owner did not use a un-vented gas cap, hence the in-cab fumes.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Great looking ‘32! Welcome to the club Lenny. You’re at the right place!

Lenny, I hope you join the early Ford V-8 club and bring that nice '32 pu to some of the national meets. We'd like to see that truck and meet you. Most members would love to see that truck regardless of which early ford engine it has.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

I’m located wayyyyy update NY But we don’t mind driving. We LOVE the Gilmore Auto Museum and been there for Model A Days and a few other visits. We’d like to do the Old Car festival this year. We will surely join you guys at some point! Can’t wait to meet everyone!

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Lenny - Let me add my congratulations too. It looks like a great truck and I can't wait to see it in person sometime somewhere. The EFV8 club has regional meets, so there will likely be one closer to upstate NY.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

As a matter of fact, an eastern national meet is planned for the thousand island area of upstate New York in 2024.

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Wow the thousand island area would be great it’s only an hour from home and…..that’s where I bought the truck!!!! How cool is that!!! Can’t wait!!

Re: Update Bought the ‘32!!

Sorry forgot to tell you guys… Wife and I went for our first ride last evening. Truck runs and drives great!!! This is exciting! You all are so very nice and super helpful. We can’t wait to start meeting you in person! Thanks again!
