Unusual-looking engine fan

Can anybody tell me anything about this fan blade assembly? It was on an 8BA engine that was in an old school bus. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like the 6 blade fan on my 59AB truck engine. I think the 6 blade fan and fan shroud are typical for trucks. Even with heavy loads, my truck has never overheated or vapor locked.
