Unusual finds inside

I found 2 sheets of wet / dry sand paper, 400, rolled up inside the headliner channel over the right door. The car had the original paint until the recent body work.

I found a nice1938 fifty cent piece inside the suicide door on my 37 Pontiac. It was the 30s and I can't imagine that they didn't rip the car apart to rescue it. Maybe it was small change to some Bonnie or Clyde?

I bought a 1913 Model T touring in Lander Wy. Bought it from the original buyer. As we left with the T on the trailer he handed me a small envelope. Opened it after got back to Missouri, Folded up inside was a little 2" X 2" square of paper. Carefully unfolding it I found the original Ford Motor Co Bill of sale for the Model T. It was bought new in Beeville, TX. The first owner, the old man I bought it from had driven it from texas to Lander Wy.

Among all the extra parts I got with my 36 ford was a 37 ford glove box clock wrapped up in an old paper towel that works perfect and an oil breather cap which I set aside thinking it was no big deal. Yesterday, I was going through my 1935/36 Ford Book from the V8 Club and there is my breather cap pictured. It was an option and the author said there are very few in existence today. Sure made my day!

Current project 50 F4 - three nails: 16d common, 8d common and a 16d finish in the gas tank.

52 F2 had a packet of rusted knives for a sickle-bar mower in the lower cab corner.

48 F6 had old registration stickers and receipts in the glove box.

Back in the early 70s I purchased a 53 ford wagon from a wrecking yard. In the very rear area was a 12ga stagecoach double barrel shotgun / a shell holder belt full of 00 shells / a canteen & a machette. I lived in northern cal at the time. Guess we all know what that wagon was used for! I have found lots of loose change in many old junkers also.

Found a bent spoon inside the door of a '26 T-Touring body I bought out of Colorado. Must have belonged to a psychic.

i went to the DMV 2 or 3 years ago got a new title for my 34 they just gave the old one back to me i just about fell over never seen that done before any how i useto bring old ford bodys and parts back from ND SD things i found in them range from money to snakes yes

I had a parts car a 51 ford, real rusty but still all together, so I though I would try to get her started. It turned over slowly but finialy started and ran on her own. It had a miss, but I was real happy it ran, and started to take it apart. Seveal months later I took the oil pan down and found this connecting rod in the bottom of the pan! The oil pan had a big bulge and the crank throw was not scored. I think the rod nuts came off. The best part of the story was it had a Mercury crankshaft, that was very usable as was the block.

Some years ago, I had to replace the ring/pinion in the rear end shaft on my Model T roadster. When I disassembled the rear end, I found, wrapped around each half-axle, an old set of BVD long johns, saturated with gear lube. A previous owner must have been bothered by rear end noise and found an easy, cheap remedy. As I recall, the mechanic was good enough to remove the buttons.
