Unrestored Model ’A’s

Often on the Fordbarn we see where someone has purchased an unrestored Model ’A’ and the advice usually is to keep it that way. “It is unrestored only once.” With the commercial thread so successful, I would like to start a thread for unrestored Model ‘A’s. If you are fortuned enough to own one please post a picture to share.

Re: Unrestored Model ’A’s

Here's two, both MARC of Original Excellence winners. The 10/28 Fordor is a 14,000 mile car. The 5/30 Coupe is 54,000 and in incredible condition.

Re: Unrestored Model ’A’s

Steve, It must be a real treat each time you remove the covers. I'm sure it takes a while for the smile to wear off.....:)

Nice survives! The last time this one was original was the day it left the factory. :) Looks much better in photos then real life.

Re: Unrestored Model ’A’s

what is considered unrestored? I have a 30 deluxe roadster that has never been restored but has been maintained. was repainted and upholstered in 1955. the upholstery and paint are not correct. it appears to have never had the body removed from the frame. I believe the motor was rebuilt at one time but is worn out now but I still drive it around town and to pomona once a year. so is this considered unrestored?

Re: Unrestored Model ’A’s

With lots of rust and with welds showing, in our area we would call it a "Rat Rod".:)

Re: Unrestored Model ’A’s

Here is my 31 Slant Town Sedan. When I bought the car it only had 12565 miles on it.

Re: Unrestored Model ’A’s

These original cars are truly gems. An amazing amount of care must have went into preserving these cars for so many years.
Thanks for sharing.
