Unity J 1 Sportlight

[I recently got my hands on a Sportlight. The knob needs to be replaced. I have the Unity diagram of the light. Can not figure out how to remove the old knob. Anyone have any experience with these ? Any help appreciated.

My brother Ron Ehrenhofer may be able to help with your sportlight issues as he is currently reproducing all the mounting brackets and restoring Sportlights. You can reach him at 630-781-7883. He has a lot of parts also.

If memory serves me, the knob is threaded on and the chrome "spacer" above it with the hex nut locks it on. I may be incorrect, it has been awhile. Terrible picture... best I could do.

Ron, who is the Technical Chairman of MARC and writes the Technical Question & Answers column in the Model "A" News magazine should have an answer for you. I bought some Unity mounting brackets from him some years ago.
