Undercoating front fenders

I have steel fenders on my 32 what is the best thing to put on the underside to prevent rocks from denting the fenders.
Thanks

I used epoxy primer and 3M Road Guard inside my 36 Ford fenders and then painted them body color. Finish is not going to be mirror, but will protect the paint from rock chips. Not likely any rock would dent a Ford fender.

Thanks.

I have painted the underside of fenders on 3 of my cars with por 15 & no chips so far, it is very tough.
Gary.

The last one I did was a fiberglass car. We used spray in bedliner on the backsides. Some of it is more rubbery than others. We used the rubbery stuff hoping the rocks would bounce off. So far so good.

Gary, I beg to differ. A dime size star is below the tail lite of my '38 Ford. It wasn't there before a cross country tour.

Check out a 3-M product called rocker schultz. It's the same stuff factory's put on cars to keep rock chips off the rocker panels and lower part of fenders and quarter panels. It is paintable but will not be smooth but will still be shiney. Works very well. It does take a special gun to apply it but they aren't very expensive. Cheaper than repainting or repairing stars in the surface of fenders etc.

I think original Ford fenders would be more resistant to rocks flying up from the tires.
I have repo steel.
Looking to minimize outy dings.
I did see in Louisville some years back some vendor had a inner fender liner.
That would be great to see in the rear view mirror.
What was that.

Body Schutz 3M
I will look into it Thanks
