Is there such a thing as "spray on filler", like an ultra thick primer? So manty times I need a simple solution to filling small areas to get a smooth surface, such as rumble seat floors, but don't have the body work skills. I have tried SEM''s primer product, but did not really do the trick. Any advice? thanks Barners

One tip: I had a set of original running boards that were very nice, but the rubber was faded, stained, whatever. I sprayed them with SEMs Flexible Color coat, Landau Black and they look awsome.

Yessiree!
Summit Racing has paints in their catalogue that will do the trick. We use their 2K high build primer with great success and it won't break the bank like your local stores will. James

there feather fill, real heavy spray on filler, or spot puttys in tubes, which are a super thick primer, you spread it on with a small rubber squeggy, a rubber pad about 2" by 2" over pits and scratches in body work and paint to be refinished, they come in 3 types, each dries faster than the next one, i use the red, it will dry in about an hour so you can wet sand it smooth, wipe all excess of just leaving the scratch or pit filled, use on straight bondo or over primer that shows pits or scratches, get both at auto paint suppliers

quick sand spray on body filler take a spray gun with 3 noz must be fiber glass type filler uses fiberglass hardner works great it dont shrink can mix and pour it on the floor ive used it a lot

Poly fill is what you are looking for. About the thickes primer surfacer I know of. Works good to. Don't mix more than a quart in the summer short pot life. Feather fill is a good brand, There are lots of other brands to.Just ask for Polyester primer surfacer. About $100 a gallon

I've been using Z-Chrome for years. Says sprayable plastic filler right on the can. You can put this stuff on thick. If your bodywork is close, one application of this and a sanding block and you're done. This product sands much easier than Feather Fill. Used it on our '27 pickup street rod. It's black and has shown no signs of shrinkage. This stuff is designed to fill. Urethane primers are good but you don't get the build. Urethane primers will shrink up some if the film build is too much. I always final prime the Z-Chrome with a Urethane primer for final sanding.

Most all of the high build primers will require a larger paint gun tip to spray properly, 2.0, 2.4 etc. the stuff is thicker therefore a larger tip.
