U.P.844 Heading East

Rowdy

BANNED
For all of the train buff's. The UP 844 blasted through town about 10 minutes ago heading east. Rod

I have talked to Steve Lee the engineer a couple times.
TOTAL jerk.

A different Steve is the engineer on the Twin Cities engine # 261 and he's as nice as can be. He also narrated the filming of the "Rebuilding The 261" and did an excellent job. For anyone that wants to see the inner workings of a large steam locomotive, buy the tape or CD "Rebuilding The 261". This engine was in the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI. until the local rail club leased it,rebuilt it and put it into commuter service. Just recently the local rail group bought the engine and they are now going through it again. I don't know if it'll be back in service by next summer or not.

Looks like it has stopped for the night, near NORTH COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA

Is there a website to check it's running schedule? I'm wondering if it'll be coming to the Twin Cities. If I knew where it was running I might be able to park the Model A at a crossing for a good photo.
