Any one have a link to a good video on how to remove the tyre from my 1828 AA truck with the wooden spoke wheel.

I believe it is like a model "t" whereas you have to remove the "wheel" from the "rim" first, then take the tire off the rim.

It should look like this....does it have a "split" in the rim? I can't tell from
your photo..the top quarter is missing. If yes, then remove the 6 nuts/clamps
too remove...

Cool always wondered how those style of rims worked... Thanks for the pic moordigian!

but yes a sawsall is your friend in removing the tire...

I wouldn't be surprised if that rim is rusted thru junk on the inside...Of the 5-6 tires Ive had to cut off, the rims were junk on the inside due to the tire collecting and trapping water...

My 49 Chevy truck has a 3 piece split rim and I've changed tires and inflated them without a cage, but never stand over the rim while inflating and make sure the rim pieces have no rust in the grooves and everything seats together well. I assemble mine and put in a few pounds of air, then lightly tap the lock ring to make sure it's firmly seated, then inflate all the way. I can't tell from the picture exactly what style rim you have, but it might have some rust issues in the grooves.

Thanks folks
Problem solved
off with the wheel from the hub as suggested , many hours of oiling and prying and off came the springy tyre rims
The rest the tyre shop can do , those old tyres are really thick and fossilised .
