Re: 33-36 gen mounted fan - low profile

Hi, I have what I believe is the correct fan you are looking for. The blades are 15 and 1/2 inches tip to tip, it has four through rivets and one through the center, it is approximately 1 and 3/4 inches thick, the mounting plate has four 1/4 inch bolt holes and is about 3 and 7/8ths inches in diameter. It looks pretty straight, although when I set it on a machine table with the mounting plate down it wobbles a bit rather than sitting evenly on the edges of the four blades. In the position I just described there appears to be about a 1/4 inch gap between the mounting plate and the table. Toby Lampert jen.toby@yahoo.com or phone 802-869-2688

Re: 33-36 gen mounted fan - low profile

The pictures you show appear to be a '33-'36 fan. The hub length on that fan would measure 1-1/16" from where it fastens to back of fan blades to the flange that bolts to generator pulley. The '37-'39 std fan would have a longer hub and a slightly different fan blade configuration.

Hello. I'm looking for a low profile generator mounted fan, I believe from a 36 and earlier flathead V8 car.

It should look like this.

Re: 33-36 gen mounted fan - low profile

JM is correct the fan I have does measure 1 and 1/16th inch from the back of the fan blade to the mounting flange. If that is correct, is the fan I have the one you need. Please let me know. The computer is getting tired of supporting its new adornment. Toby
