Two Door Phaeton on Craigslist

CL link posted says it expired ...

I was in Hoodsport today - on Long Island and was maybe going to take
a gander - but then it started to snow & I had to get going to the
Philadelphia area to pick up a 1922 Studebaker headed to Oregon ... ;)

Just saw Alex Dragones blue 180 listed somewhere- guess he lost interest and Manny is selling it for him-no price listed, but sure it wont be cheap.....

I went over Alex car 2 years ago at a Conn. show maybe 3... Not that i smoke but wish i had what they are smoking at $37,000.00.... my humble opinion after having 2 , 180A's and helping with 2 others....the one in Long Island is a steal at $20,000.00 over Alex 180a. at $37,000.00 if you compare.

I glanced at it and passed it by, it certainly didn't stand out. I wish I could remember the price at Hershey, I wanna say 45k but unsure. If you read the description on the Dragone website it is portrayed as one of the best world wide......

Checked out www.dragoneclassic.com and read the description of the car... The problem i have is they state : CERTAINLY ONE OF THE BEST.... SORRY,,, they are in the business and kinda not surprise they are USED car salesman! There are way to many ONE OF THE BEST out there and this is NOT one of them. They did clean it up since i seen it... but underneath i wonder...had a friend in P.A. post a 180A on ebay a short while ago [within 2 years] for a friend and this car was SOILD , body off restoration back in the late 60's and put away,,,STILL LOOKED SUPER just needed a new top. Sold off ebay a week later for $36,000.00 and that was a steal. My friend wanted $43,000.00 [greed set in]] l.o.l. and then i told him to come to his senses.Sometimes you don't want that ORIGINAL WOOD!... I wish him luck...

I bought your friends 180A. I thought I paid fair price and everytime I take it out I smile. It is probably as close as I will every come to knowing what it was like to drive a new 180A. I don't think (I know) you could not take the car listed on Craig's List and put $16,000.00 into it and have as nice a car as I got for Christmas from your friend in 2012. Thank him for me.

If anybody knows values of the 180, it's gotta be Pete! I had the same thought of 'used car salesman'. They do come up with some great cars, but it appears 'Dragone' in the provenience adds considerably to the markup percentage, if you're willing to pay for it......

oldoily ...that is a super car [solid] and the son just did not want it .He waited until his father died and then called me up and put it up forsale...You bought it from Chris who had a ebay account. I was the middle man...I wish i had the funds at that time to buy it but i have a daughter who at that time liked to get in trouble. L.O.L...she cost me $10,000.00 that spring and that was not counting school...glad you are happy ...
