Two-cycle oil in gas

H.L. yeah 25% mix of Kerosene seems a little overkill. I always heard a quart in 10 gallons. That's only 1/40th or about 2.5%!!!!

Thanks, and to confirm what you heard & what I heard, my Dad mentioned it was written in either a newspaper or magazine article years ago where many guys tried it but did not like it.

Amazing I did not try it years ago -- usually I like to experiment with both written & unwritten suggestions -- nothing like comparing experience with that which is written or heard of.

Gotcha, same here. I bet during the Second World War, with gas rationing, they used to run these old girls on about anything from moonshine to kerosene to coal oil!!
 
My grandfather said he used to add Kerosene to his gas tank, back post depression era. He did this when he was low on fuel so he could make it to work. It was mixed with the gas already in the tank. He said they always had a 5 gallon can of Kerosene for the lamps and it was cheaper.
