Twisters

After watching the devastation and heart breaking stories as a result of the Twisters, just hoping that Model A clubs/Barn members and their families made it through safely.
Any reports from the Texas, Ok and Missouri clubs?

I grew up and went to school in Missouri and have been thru that part of the country many times. It just breaks my heart to see the destruction and hear of all the loss of life.

My prayers are with the all victims and their families.

Chris

Have not seen Model T Monte post since the tornadoes. Has anyone heard from him? He lives close to Enid, Ok. Rod

We have had some pretty wild weather the past few weeks with some Texas size hail but it sounds like everybody in the Dallas and Ft Worth clubs is ok. Made it through the bad weather, now bring on the 101 degree weather!

Hi Rod, Doin great, I had some tense moments. My oldest an youngest sons were workin pipeline by Oakwood Ok. about where the tornado came out of the S. Canadian river an traveled on towards Canton lake, Longdale andon towards Enid. The boys on the job piled into vehicles to get out of the 3 inch hail, company pick-up was beat up and lost a windshield. My veteran son who is living in Oakwood where all the cars are stored said it passed a mile or so south of the house. Guess we are just livin right. Thanks Monte

Storm passed less than a half mile from the house as it swept thru Piedmont on it's way to Guthrie. Most activity in one day than I have seen in a long time.

We all feel for those who had problems with the weather. Hope all is going well for all of you. Only problem we have had here is the Oregon area is to much rain!

I had to deal with one of the Tornados (EF-4) that came through here last month. Minor damage to home and body shop. Lost a lot of trees but my wood shop and garage for my Model A and 46 Ford caught a 90' Pine tree across it. None of my wood working machines or cars were damaged just the building but it is repairable. Had Ins to cover everything. Got a $25,000.00 check today and there should be another one or two after repairs are made. It came with in about 500 to 600 ft of my house and came and went in less than 10 seconds. We were very lucky in more ways than one. We even had more bad luck this past Monday. On the way to work my wife stopped to wait for some one to turn into a Waffle House resturant and a truck behind her pulled up short to keep from hitting her. He got stopped OK but the load of heavy wall pipe didn't. It unloaded across the deck lid and through the back glass. $5088.00 in damages. I guess when it rains it pours. She wasn't hurt and again we were very lucky.
