Turtle Gear Change

You might have said in another post, but what cam are you running?

Schneider 248f, which is a pretty mild grind. .350 lift, 220 duration at .050. A little burble at idle, but not loping. No sacrifice of street tractability, but comes on strong above 2000 rpm.

Are you using a tachometer? I am curious how many r.p.m.'s you are turning at 65.

Right at 2600 rpm at 65 mph. 2600 -2700 seems to be the sweet spot for this engine and car combination. Radial tires and stock shocks are good; it tracks well and does not get at all squirrely over dips and bumps and different lane heights. Trucks and busses push it around a little, but no worse than my mini-van.

4800 rpm would get me 120 mph; - if I ever get to Bonneville!
