turn signals

I have the lights that go between the bumpers and they are DIM and Fast. Hardly visible.They need more resistance. Just havent figured out how to accomplish that without adding more bulbs and where to hide them. I personaly would go with something else.
 
I bought 4 of these 2x3 clearence lights off or E-bay for $2.50 each, of course they are 12 Volt, using a 194 Bulb, they are really brite.

Paul in CT The fog lights in my avitar are my front signals, between the bumper lights for the rear.
 
Love the idea of those Smart Lights as Ford 46 posted, Has anyone used them? $ 379+ is pretty expensive. Ron
 
If you own multiple vehicles they are also easily swapped around, or easily removed for a show and judging. No wiring, LED, directionals and four way flasher all in one. Pretty clever idea. LouB.

That was originated in LA in the 40's. Still works good anywhere today.

As far as turn signals, I converted my car to a hot rod by adding an F100 steering. Self cancelling turn signals are built in to that.
Front turn lights are the cowl lights, rears are original tail lights with 32/50 cp bulbs. Everything looks original outside.

I just used a Signal-stat and the original lights. Where needed I just covered the wires with cloth loom. I'm getting used to the look of the switch. I only installed them because I got tired of being saluted by soccer moms that don't understand hand signals, they had their own hand signal for me.
