Turn signals

I'm installing aftermarket turn signals Mounted the turn switch and made sure it was grounded. Installed the two fronts that mount between the bumper rails. they both work good. Now should I incorporate the rears into the factory wiring or add two rears like the diagram shows ??

I added new LED between rear bumper bars as is the front. Just ran two wires back to the rear lights . It has worked flawlessly for the past 3 years

The rear lenses that have built in LED's are very bright and very noticeable. I added the brake light/turn indicator in the rear window that also helps.

I ran individual lights for the rear turn signals and tied them into the wiring for the front turn lamps. By separating them away from the tail lights they seem to show up better. We want to do all we can to get the attention of other drivers!

I just installed the led turn signals in between the bumpers and I think this was one of
the best things I ever did. What a difference. I also added a third brake light in the
back. Didn't put it in the back window.

I would add two rears like the diagram shows ! I have had them on my car maybe 10 years with NO problems !

I NEVER tried but I THINK you would have an awful time getting them into an already wrapped harness ! Just my opinion !

Hello
I bought the bumper mount turn signals, (6v + ground) they have 2 wires, a white and a black. The instructions only said "The light is grounded through the bumper..."

So, should I just crimp a ring terminal on the black wire and hook it to the bumper bolt?

It really depends on which signal switch you have. Some are wired to use strictly separate rear lights. Others are wired so you can use the existing taillights that will still work correctly as both signals and brake lights without needing to install double filament bulbs, sockets, and wiring in those lights.

All the above answers are good, but to answer correctly as to which lights you CAN USE without further modification, we need to know which switch you have. Where did you buy it? Do you have a part number from the vendor?

That should work, as long as the black wire is the wire that needs to be grounded.

I still prefer to use hand signals even though I doubt very many drivers on the road even understand what they mean.

Hand signals are still taught and tested at the DMV when you go to get your drivers license in California. Do they remember is another question.

But when I use hand Signals when driving my Town Sedan, other "friendly" drivers just wave back... so I use both to ensure they know what I am doing..
