;)I'm wanting to put turn signals (6 volt) on our our 28 Phaeton, any good suggestions:confused: I do have a 6 volt 60 amp alt. was thinking of LED.

Thanks, and I surely enjoy reading about the Model A's on Ford Barn.

Here is a nice switch I used, for less than $30 can be wired for 6 or 12 Volt systems.

There are any number of ways to do it.. I use the original lights with a signalstat.. Whatever you decide,, a little ole 6v generator will work just fine..

if you do not use turn signals on your modern drive, why bother with them on an old car???? 99% of people don't use them anyhow...

Suggest that when you add turn signals, do not butcher up the original wiring. You can purchase 4 wire bundle of wires like used for trailer lights then use this color code for each of the turn signals. You can purchase lights that will fit between the bumpers so do not change wiring. Used a multi connector from Radio Shack to connect wires from the turn signal unit to the lights, turn signal relay, power and ground. Easy to remove if required. Placed a strip of tape around steering column to prevent scratching the column. Installed a good ground wire from the turn signal unit to chassis ground. Hooked the rear turn signals into the brake system so have 4 lights on the rear when stopping and three red lights plus a turn signal light when slowing and turning. Want as much light as possible to get peoples attention so do not get run over. You have to drive defensivley

I installed and use fog lights on the front of my '28 phaeton for turn signals, and I added an additional tail light on the rear of my car for the rear lights and turn signals. That's what works for me. CC
