I have a 1950 Ford coupe and it is stock with 6 volt system. It does not have a turn signal. Is there a kit that you can buy to convert it to turn signal light. Is there a diagram or step by step instructions. Thanks for any help Jerry

Several of the "suppliers" carry turn signal kits. You can also search turn signals here on the Barn or Google "How to build a turn signal".
There is a ton of info available for you to look at and choose what applies.
Check Mac's antique parts for basic turn signal kits.
Good luck with your project

Make sure that you get a 7 wire kit and not a 4 wire. The 4 wire you need to add 2 lights in rear and 2 in front. They don't work with your original lights, the 7 wire will work with the original lights.

You have a stock 1950 Ford why wouldn't you try to find the real neat original clamp on Fomoco SXTS-B turn signal? They are on Ebay quite often, one is on there now but it is priced ridiculously and the wires are clipped. If you do find one reasonable wiring harnesses are available for repair ,Tyree Harris makes them. Look for 1949-1950 Ford turn signals switch on Ebay,at least the one that is on there now is good for reference. I have always used these on my old Fords, had a dealer installed one on my 46 Ford and have a NOS one on my 37 coupe, good for any old Ford with a 1 1/2" diameter steering column tube. These were made for Ford by RBM and Essex wire in my hometown late forties up ,the 51 Ford used the built in switch, think all were optional not mandatory until '53 at least in Ohio. Every one of the ones that vendors supply are China man made.

Not trying to hijack the thread but does anybody know where to get the conduit  to cover the wires running down the side of the steering column?
