Turn signal flashing problem

The turn signals on my '53 Ranch Wagon have had a problem for a long time that I can't seem to find/fix. Everything works fine on the left side. On the right side, the tailight seems to flash a bit more faintly than on the left side, and when I apply the brakes, the flashing stops altogether and the light stays on continuously. I can't seem to find any short or obvious wiring problem. All the parts & wiring harness are new.

Any ideas? Is it a cross-over problem at the bulb socket? Anything I can do with a volt meter/continuity tester? Thanks.

If the wires are all new and ring true then you need to check every ground path associated with the system. Return path is just an important to function as the wires are.

I agree usually is a bad ground causes this ,trace all wires wherever you have a wire going to ground sand down and use some vaseline before hooking back together, also put this on contacts of bulb and around base of bulb for easier removal later.
