Tudor top sheet metal

I have some rust spots/bumps on the metal side pieces of the roof (the curved part above the drip molding and before the wooden slats), under the vinyl. I was told these sheet metal pieces are available but cannot find them. I have found a couple pieces described as "above door sheet metal, but they don't look long enough to go from the front (by windshield) all the way to the back.

Also, are there any websites to research the process of changing these side roof pieces. All I understand is the current pieces have to be cut out and the new must be welded in.

Any advise is appreciated. --Jeremy

My past experiences have been the reproduction pieces you speak of are poor in quality & fit. My suggestion is to repair what you already have.

Wire brush the rusty spots and apply a rust reformer as in "Rustolium Rust Reformer" which comes in a spray can. As for the bumps and dents, fill them with Bondo and sand to the contour of the panels.
