Richard, the one you show might be very good for bending-in-place under the car where you don't have room for a lever type bender. You might be able to just bend as you go. As far as having to put it into a vise, I find that the tubing has to be in a vise so it doesn't move and screw up the angle you want even with a lever type bender.
I don't have one like you show so I don't know for sure how well it will work, but let us know how it comes out.

Yes, you just flip the mandrel over for the other size.

Each mandrel has a full groove, but 180* is 1/4th, the other side is smaller for 3/16th...etc.

Carl shows some nice ones, used to use those styles to bend SS tubing where I used to work at.
