Hi all,

I'm Mike and am new to the forums. I'm trying to identify this emblem, wheel cover for a friend. Does this look familiar to anyone out there? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

I agree the wheel cover style looks to be from 1963 or later, but the emblem crest style in the center was last used I believe in 1960 on Ford cars. Maybe someone installed a center crest from an earlier Ford. That crest was used on ford cars from 1950 through 1960.

Lower left Part # C3AZ-1130-G '63-'64 full size Fords. NOTE: It could also be # C4AZ-1130-L, which has the red/white/blue center as well. It is also a 14" cover.

Thank you all for your responses. Very helpful. When looking at the center emblem, I wonder if one of the backgrounds were at one time red. That would jive with some others that I've come across.

At any rate, thank you all for your expertise.

Mike

My best Guess is that it is a 65 Mustang 14" Wire Hubcap. A bigger picture would help. These Mustang Wire Hubcaps are different to the 63/64 Ford Galaxie 14" Wire Hubcaps.
It seemed like it didn't take long for Members to correctly identify this Hubcap, even adding pages from the Parts Catalog for Reference.
Now, how come with all these learned Ford People reading Ford Barn, no one has been able to come up with an answer to my question "Mystery Ford Hubcap", which now stands at 1068 Hits?
Surely, someone in Ford Land can come to my rescue?

You are the wheel cover collector and expert compared to average Ford Barners. What car did it come off of ??

As you have indicated, I have made quite a study of FoMoCo Hubcaps over the years & have over 300 (all different) hanging in my Garage dating back to 1932.
Not an easy task, seeing as I live in Australia where most cars that these hubcaps were originally fitted to were never imported when new. All of my Hubcaps are arranged in correct date order. I have separate displays for Thunderbird, Mercury, Lincoln etc.
However, this "Mystery Ford Hubcap" which is 14" (refer to separate Post) still remains a Mystery. To date, with about 1100 Lookers, no-one has been able to give me exact proof as to it's identity. A copy of a Parts List Page would be good proof as to its identity. From the style of it, it would appear to be mid-seventies, & names like Torino have been suggested, but after looking through original Sales Brochures etc, I have yet to see pictures of this Hubcap. To date, no-one has produced evidence of what it is actually from. Until I discover what it is, I cannot display it. The Mystery continues. For all Threads & Comments, please check out my original Post "Mystery Ford Hubcap". Hopefully, someone out there can help identify this mystery hubcap?
