I've got a rumble lid that has the bottom INNER edge rotted away, does someone make patch panels? Buying the whole inner panel from Brookville is overkill IMO, I'd rather fix what I have. Top and bottom look the same, so manybe there is an original that is half good than could be a doner.:confused:

How much are you missing? Mine had a lot of cheese holes and I managed to replace a lot of it with patches. If it is a true rumble you won't see the work when you hang the cushion back on. The worst was the outer skin replacement but in the end we got it looking fairly good.

Contact Brookville to see if they have any "blems" .These are panels that fail quality control and are not used in assembly, you might be lucky. I restored a roadster body where the top of the rear body had been cut out to accomodate a huge tuck and roll seat.A friend in USA got these top sections from Brookville at a very nominal cost and they welded in perfectly.Worth a try.

Take some measurements and a drawing and go to a sheet metal shop in your area and get them to bend up the panel you need. It works well and the price is usually good.

I just sent you an email. Let me know if you would like a copy of the article I wrote about repairing the same problem.
