I have some questions about the color some items are painted on my 28 special coupe. I have the Paint and Finishing Guide, but can't find the answers in it. The first items are the long, narrow metal pieces that that fasten the windlace to the hinge side of the door. It is held on with 7 tubular rivets. I have been told it should be lower body color, but I wanted to make sure. It is possible it could be painted black like some other trim pieces. The second item is the center hinge on the doors. When the raised belt area is painted the trim color, is the hinge on the door also painted the trim color or is it mask off and stays the lower body color? I have seen many finished cars, but I can't remember the trim details. Thanks for any help with these questions.
