Trim identity?

This trim was with a lot from a Ford dealership and included many parts from the 40's 50' and 60's. I swear I've seen this on a 50's car but can't place it. Anyone have an idea what this fits? Material is stainless and I believe it to be Ford or Mercury. Thanks.

Looks like it's for a '66 T-bird without fender skirts - one-year offering. Compare it against a 64-'66 without skirts on to see if it fits.

I think that alt63bird has nailed this answer. Compare the Trim with the shape of the Fender Skirts. Well done.

You're welcome. Is the metal stainless or anodized aluminum? Had thought that this molding was aluminum based on corrosion I've seen on used ones in the past.
 
I think stainless. The piece is on it's way to a T-bird owner in Texas. I think he'll be tickled.
