We can stop looking. I gave in and made the plate & screw retainers. I can tilt the radiator forward enough to reach the top two retainers and will use the 2 wire clips I have in the 2 lower holes.
Thanks for the help. I would not have made these clips if pictures of them were not posted. I was fixated on getting or making wire clips.

Just for fun, are you willing to try a plastic "christmas tree" style clip? If so send (or post) the dimensions you think you need for the base (L x W x H) and the hole diameter. I will attempt a quick cad model and a 3D print in a resilient urethane.
