Trickle Charger/Batt. maintainer

' I vote "YES!" '

Why do I know I'm going to regret this...?

Owl Pellet.jpg

The casual observer will note - despite the poor quality of the photo - the two incisors at the left edge of the pellet.

And - just to prove how exciting education can be - we spent (at Cleveland High School in Reseda CA) the better part of a semester (as I recall; this was in the late 1950's) in Biology dissecting one of these. Each of us received one pellet in a dissecting tray; by the time we finished, we had a complete rodent skeleton laid out and labeled.

I think that's when I first became aware that engineering might be more to my liking...

Alright, give it your best shot. [And I apologize to the OP.]

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,here goes. Since i live just a few blocks from Reseda High School,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,why dont you send me one of those
carcasses or remains, which ever you want to call them,,,,,,,,and i will deliver it to the school and donate it in your name to biology department. Perhaps, framed and hanging on the wall, or in a case in the priciples office. Or show and tell at the next Alumni get together. Just a thought Skip.....................
By the way,, do you think they still teach biology?:D:D:D

Well if they have auto shop, they probably show them how to install air bags and twice pipes and window tint on there Chebbies.:cool::cool:

My wife went to Cleveland High, I went to Taft High, and we used to live down the street from Reseda High. They don't do Chebbies anymore. It is Rice Rockets now (Honda Civics, etc. with body kits, loud exhausts, riding on air bags or coilovers....) I think they have to hook up to a trickle charger nightly to power the stereos with the big amps and subwoofers :D I have a regular 6/12v charger with the slide switch for the voltage. It also has a slide switch for the amps. I have been considering a trickle charger, but I don't have an issue with my battery. The Model A starts well even if it has been sitting for a few weeks.

I puzzled at the number of people who feel they need to keep a charger on a battery, especially if there is a battery disconnect. If I have a battery that goes dead in a year I look for the drain on it. As for concrete, the 12v Duralast in my generator room sits on a concrete floor and was purchased in 1999. Its still going strong. Model A's shouldn't have anything draining the battery. Newer cars are more of a problem because of the constant drain of the electronics.

If you buy the Shumacher made tender from Sears under the Diehard name, you get 3 years of warranty coverage versus 1 year for Schumacher.

Mine is automatic and digital. It detects 6V and 12V and auto shifts from charge to float.
