It seems like the only thing i have yet to do to this truck is check change the trany oil. I know there is a drain plug on the bottom but im concerned that there will be an air lock and the fluid will not drain. is there something on top that you can open to get the get rid of the vacume. also is there a place on top to put the new 600 weight oil in there or do i pump it back up though the drain hole like on a lowere unit of a boat.

I'm actually going to be checking both the transmission and rearend this weekend. Do you just fill it up until it's full at the plug or is there a specified amount?

The transmission also has a atmospheric bleed hole on the side of the transmission tower, to prevent air lock. Fill transmission to the top of the threads of the transmission side plug hole.

Henry said to add kerosene to the ****** in the winter, so I also fill it with kerosene after draining the old 600W, then drain the kero to clean up the ****** before filling with new 600W.
