Transmission mounts on 39

Using a 39 transmision in a 36, the 36 transmission mount bolts on rear of transmission, the 39 has the ears built in to housing of transmission .the only thing i can see is macs has a kit for 37-42 motor mounts takes 4 kits,are the transmission mounts same as front motor mounts. Don p

they have the same appearance but the hole in the front crossmember on the 36 may be smaller in diameter than the rear trans mount on the 39. the lower rubber bushing may not fit the hole properly. measure the holes in the crossmembers if they are the same diameter than the 39 will fit front and rear. Both styles are sold by Bob Drake, Macs may have a lower bushing with different sides so it fits both???

If you have the 36 middle cross-member, why wouldn't you just bolt a 36 transmission mount to the 39 trans and bolt it in? The 37up frames had a metal bracket attached to the frame to accept the 39 mount system.

Barn Junk has the hot smokin tip. The back of all the 32 & up ****** cases all have the same bolt hole patern. You can put a 32 motor mount on a 50 F-1 light duty case if you want.

Problem solved.a closer look at the 39 case ,the ears and end plate will change out with the 36, or i can go with the donut type mounts also. Thanks dp
