transmissiom filter

[Johnnydidd]

I am looking for a filter or screen for the automatic transmission in my 56 mercury, I found the gasket, but no filter unless you buy rebuild kit. Does anyone know where I can get one?

If I'm not mistaken (distinct possibility), the screen in the '56 is a washable screen. John

CASCO- the Tbird parts supplier, has Fordomatic screens (part # 7A098). Includes gasket.

I would assume someone like Carpenter would have them.
