A archie64 Junior Member Jun 10, 2011 #1 I just put my rebuilt engine in my 30 ford coupe and I have reverse,low,med. but can not get into third,I have used the shims at the throttle lickage(3 on the passanger,none on the drivers side) and now it is stuck in third. Anyone have any ideas

Gary WA Well-known member Jun 10, 2011 #2 Has nothing to do with shims!Did you rebuild the transmission? Need to remove tower and have a look inside????

Patrick L. Well-known member Jun 11, 2011 #6 Were you moving or sitting still when trying to shift ?? Have you tried rocking the car while fiddling with the shift lever??
