What size enclosed trailer best fits the 29 pickups. (Budget minded)Tried a post on the social group "pickups" without results. Thanks!

First, take overall length, width, and height measurements of your PU. Next either weigh your truck, or look up printed information on the truck's weight.

Armed with that information, start searching on the web for "enclosed trailers", "enclosed car trailers," or "enclosed car haulers". There are tons of new and used out there, but it will give you an idea of what is available.

Now, with some trailer information in hand, you can decide what you want; such as door/ramp, side door, pointed or flat front, etc. Do you want the trailer just to haul the PU, or are there going to be other items you want to take also? The very minimum sized trailer would be just long enough, high enough, and wide enough for you to get in the truck when it is in the trailer. Some trailers come with tie-downs, while others you have to provide them. Also, I would advise a trailer with electic brakes. However, if only hydraulic is available, they must be in good working order. I could go on and on, but just use your common sense when buying.

Next, look into what you will be pulling the trailer with. I assume you will be using what you have in the garage right now. Is it capable of doing the job? Can the proper hitch be installed?

I know this isn't all inclusive, but I hope some of it helps. - Ron/IA

PS. Driving it is not a bad idea, and a heck of a lot of fun.

You can "get by" with a 16' but IMHO get a 20.' A couple of extra feet does not significantly add to the cost. It is important that the trailer door is at least 6'6". My 150-Bs scrape the top of the door unless I deflate the rear tires even though the interior height is sufficient. Ron's post is good advice.
