trade marks

Would anybody have a picture of a Murry a trade mark / stamp ?
I just found a stamp on my windshield top bracket that screws to the header. I have a briggs but this looks like a possible murry stamp. Looks like a C with a M in the middle with a A in the center of the M.

I do not think this is a Murray logo. I have similar stamps on my Tudor hinges but the body is apparently stamped by Budd! Probably just a makers stamp for a component.
You will either have a Briggs or a Murray which is quite easy to distinguish if a Fordor straight windshield. If it is an original non molested body, it will not be a half Murray, half Briggs.
The Murray badge fitted to the cowls of 1929 3W Fordors depicted an early 19th C Gent with a top hat.

That's good news. Had me worried there. Thanks guys. Anyway I found out that this is a 1928/29 windshield. Now I got to find another one for my car. No holes for vacuum wiper motor.

Having no holes for a vacuum wiper is no big deal. The early 30's had electric wipers. Do you have the split splash aprons?

Mike

I have the full aprons. What I would have to do is drill at the right location for the wiper motor and also depending where this hole is I will have to drill for the switch and or the vacuum line. I would have to get some kind of lay out for the holes. I did see some one was selling the top section of the frame for this car with top bracket. I don't know if I could use the rest of the frame with this.

Sorry Frank,

I don't know why I posted this here and not in your windshield thread. But if you have a P/U windshield I would trade it off for the correct one and make your life a whole easier. That and you would not be destroying a really good PU windshield.
